God is Love

god/christ said, “love one another.”

  • We cannot love others, including God, more than we love ourselves.

  • We need to learn to love ourselves, so that we can then love others and God enough.

  • Our words are more powerful than the sword! Our love is more powerful than our words@ Love is the feelings and emotions we create and share with others.

  • Love is how I choose to feel.

  • “I love you” is only a phrase; three words. Saying “I love you” with heartfelt emotion and actions is what creates the feeling of being loved in others.

happiness

  • Happiness comes from being our best selves and being like God (“I am”).

  • “I am” (big I) - happy, love, kind, merciful, patient, gentle, loyal, forgiving, truthful, virtuous, chaste, benevolent, cheerful, joyful, caring, full of faith, positive, giving, pure of heart. . .

unhappiness

  • Unhappiness is selfishness.

  • “i am” (little i) - being controlling of others, greedy, mean, vain, hateful, egotistical, gloomy, rude, self-absorbed, stingy, offensive, prejudiced. . .
